LAPD Searching for Suspect in Fatal Crash on North McCadden Place
Los Angeles, CA (September 14, 2022) On Monday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Sunset Boulevard killed a person lying on the roadway.
According to the LAPD a westbound white 2018 Audi S5 struck a pedestrian at around 8:45 p.m. on North McCadden Place.
Reports say that the pedestrian was already on the roadway when the Audi struck the person. The driver of the Audi fled the scene, driving west toward Sunset Boulevard then made a U-turn.
Apparently, the driver flagged down an LAPD officer and told them of the downed pedestrian. Afterward, the driver fled eastward Sunset Boulevard.
Paramedics found the victim and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officials did not reveal the pedestrian’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities are investigating the incident and officers believe impairment may be a factor for the crash.
