Suallah Loyd injured after a suspected DUI crash into a fire truck on Acalanes Road
Lafayette, CA (April 10, 2020) – On April 6, Suallah Loyd was injured after crashing his vehicle into a fire truck and was later arrested for suspicion of DUI on Hwy 24.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Highway 24 near Acalanes Road at roughly 11:30 p.m.
Suallah Loyd, a 30-year old resident of Oakland, was driving a Honda sedan and was observed to be speeding in the roadway.
He then slammed his vehicle into a fire truck that was responding to another earlier incident.
Loyd sustained critical injuries due to the collision and was brought to an area hospital for further treatment.
Later, Suallah Loyd was arrested for suspected DUI.
