STUDIO CITY, CA – One Killed in Bicycle Collision on the 101 Freeway

Bicyclist Fatally Injured in Crash at Laurel Canyon Boulevard

 
STUDIO CITY, CA (March 9, 2018) – A person was struck and killed in a bicycles accident on the 101 Freeway at Laurel Canyon Boulevard, early Friday morning.
 
The collision happened around 6:11 AM and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by officials. It was not immediately confirmed if the person was riding the bicycle when the collision occurred. According to Fire Department officials, authorities found the body of the victim in the center lane of the freeway.
 
No further details about the victim’s identity or the incident were immediately announced.
 
A SIG Alert was implemented at around 6:30 AM and several lanes were closed off, according to CHP’s traffic incident log. All lanes were reopened and accessible around 9:20 AM.
