18-Wheeler Driver Gregory Jackson Involved in Livingston Fatal Crash
Livingston, TX (December 9, 2023) – Eduardo Romero Flores, a 15-year-old Livingston ISD student, was killed in a pedestrian accident on US 59 Thursday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened north of Livingston minutes past 4 p.m.
Texas DPS officers said a Livingston ISD school bus was traveling north and stopped on the outside lane with its flashing lights on and stop sign extended to offload Eduardo Romero Flores.
Behind the school bus was a Toyota. Officers said a northbound 18-wheeler tractor-trailer driven by Gregory Jackson, 41,, struck the Toyota and veered right hitting the student.
Sadly, Romero Flores died at the scene.
Moreover, Jackson and the Toyota driver were not injured in the accident.
Gregory Jackson has been charged with criminal negligent homicide and a felony offense. He was transported to the Polk County Jail.
