Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (April 20, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle late Saturday evening in Stockton.
The fatal incident happened around 10:39 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 at Farmington Road.
According to police, the pedestrian ran across the highway from the right shoulder when the individual was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The unidentified victim, who was believed to have been intoxicated at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
A SigAlert was issued, blocking three lanes of Highway 99 for about an hour while the investigation was being conducted.
