Fatal Afternoon Crash on 5 Freeway in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (December 13, 2018) – At least one person was killed following a vehicular accident Thursday afternoon in Stockton, CHP officials said.
The fatal crash happened around 12:56 p.m. at the intersection of 5 Freeway and Highway 4.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle went off the freeway for unknown reasons. A male occupant was seen out of the vehicle and was bleeding from the head, unknown if he was ejected during the crash.
Deputies from the Stockton Police Department and Stockton Fire Department responded to the scene to handle the rescue operation. An ambulance unit was also dispatched to assist.
Sadly, at least one fatality was found as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
