4 Vehicles Involved in Auto Accident near Filbert Street, Injuries Reported

STOCKTON, CA (March 26, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 4 Tuesday afternoon.

The collision happened around 4:25 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the highway. Authorities arrived after receiving multiple dispatch calls near the Filbert Street off-ramp soon after.

Reports indicate that four vehicles, including a silver Ford commercial truck were involved in the accident. Details of how the incident began are still unclear, however officials say paramedics were called due to needed medical attention.

The Ford, along with the other involved vehicles, were found wrecked upon officers arrival. Furthermore, two patients were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. They were allegedly suffering from minor injuries due to the impact of the collision.

Towing services were also eventually called to remove the totaled vehicles away from the scene. The surrounding area was closed for a brief time as crews worked to clean and finalize preliminary duties.

Moreover, there were no official reports stating what caused the crash or who was liable. An investigation is currently ongoing while authorities gather more evidence.
