Motorcycle Crashes into Power Pole on Highway 140 in Stevinson, Fatality Reported
STEVINSON, CA (March 29, 2019) – One person was killed following a fiery motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Stevinson, CHP officials said.
The fatal crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 140 at Nelander Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle had crashed into a power pole and caught fire. Several other motorcycles and vehicles stopped in the area.
Fire crews responded to the scene and located two patients, one of them was killed in the crash. A coroner’s personnel was notified to pick up the victim’s remains.
The other patient was badly injured and an air ambulance was requested to transport the individual to a hospital.
The highway was closed for the on-scene investigation and clearing operation.
