Chelan Traffic Collision Kills 75-Year-Old Motorcyclist

Chelan, WA (August 25, 2022) – Yesterday, Steven King, a 75-year-old Richland motorcyclist, died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 97.

It was about 9:30 a.m. when the fatal crash happened approximately four miles north of Chelan.

The authorities investigating the incident say that a group of motorcycle riders were southbound on the freeway. Apparently, the riders missed their turn and pulled onto the shoulder.

King was attempting to make a U-turn but was struck by a southbound 2008 Dodge Dakota pickup truck.

Sadly, Steven King lost his life at the crash scene while the pickup truck driver, a 68-year-old Omak man, did not sustain injuries.
