1 Person Hurt in Canyon Country DUI Accident on 14 Freeway near Sand Canyon Road
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (December 14, 2023) – Monday night, authorities arrested Steven Ceja after an alarming DUI crash on 14 Freeway near Sand Canyon Road.
The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on the northbound 14 Freeway, south of Sand Canyon Road.
According to California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office spokesperson Officer Josh Greengard, a Chevrolet SUV rear-ended a Lexus sedan.
As a result, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Lexus sustained minor injuries in the collision.
Moreover, officers arrested and booked the 21-year-old Chevrolet driver into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for Felony DUI with bail set at $100,000.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
