Fatal Bicycle Crash on Sycamore Drive
Simi Valley, CA (April 29, 2022) – On Wednesday, Stephen Wright, 69, of Simi Valley, sustained fatal injuries in a bicycle crash on Sycamore Drive.
Officers say Wright was riding a 10-speed style road bike northbound on Sycamore Drive. Wright was wearing a helmet when the collision happened.
At the same time, a commercial flatbed truck driver was also driving northbound on Sycamore Drive.
Reports say the crash occurred when the truck driver turned right.
Unfortunately, Wright died at the accident scene.
Moreover, the truck driver did not sustain injuries. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Officers also said there were no signs of impairment with Wright or the driver.
