Stephen Fitzpatrick, Audun Laading, Trevor Engelbrektson, and Francisco Rebollar Killed in Head-On Crash
CENTENNIAL, AZ (March 31, 2019) – The music duo from the United Kingdom died after a fiery collision on Wednesday, March 27.
According to a local news source, Stephen Fitzpatrick, Audun Laading and their tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson died following a head-on crash near Centennial, Arizona.
Fitzpatrick and Laading are the members of the Liverpool-based band Her’s.
They had performed at The Rebel Lounge Tuesday in Phoenix and were traveling to a show in Santa Ana, California.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at around 1 a.m. on 10 Freeway near Centennial, milepost 68 in La Paz County.
A Nissan pickup truck crashed head-on with the band’s Ford passenger van in the westbound lanes of traffic.
All the occupants of the passenger van died at the collision. The driver of the Nissan pickup, identified as 63-year-old Francisco Rebollar of Murrieta, California, was also killed.
DPS stated that there are no signs that either vehicle braked before the incident. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames after the impact. Officers found an alcoholic beverage container among the debris from the collision.
Authorities shut down the westbound lanes of the traffic after the crash.
