29-Year-Old Rainier Woman Dead and One Injured in Accident on Vail Cut Off Road SE
RAINIER, WA (March 19, 2018) – A Rainier woman was killed and one other man injured in a two-car crash on the intersection of Plum Nelly Lane Southeast and Vail Cut Off Road Southeast, early Monday evening.
The woman was identified by Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock on Tuesday, as 29-year-old Stephanie J Roberts.
According to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, Roberts was driving in a grey sedan around 5 PM, when she crossed the center line and crashed into a pickup truck. She was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency personnel. The man driving the pickup suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. There is no update on the man’s identity or current condition.
Police officials continue to investigate the fatal collision. No other information has been released to the public at this time.
