Imperial County, CA (May 15, 2024) On Tuesday evening, a female pedestrian was hurt and airlifted to the hospital after the State Route 186 hit-and-run crash.

According to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department, the auto-pedestrian crash happened around 6:24 p.m. on State Route 186 near the Andrade Port of Entry.

Reports say that a woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Officials say that the suspect driver was apprehended in Winterhaven.

Medics transported the injured female to Desert Regional Medical Center via REACH Air Ambulance.
