3 Teenagers Involved in Solo-Car Accident on SR-12
Burbank, WA (August 23, 2022) On Monday morning, 15-year-old and 16-year-old boys were injured after a pursuit crash on State Route 12.
Reports say that a 16-year-old male driver was fleeing troopers on a fully marked WSP patrol vehicle that had its lights and sirens activated at around 2:52 a.m.
WSP says that at the top of the exit ramp to SR-124, the teenager lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.
Officials say that the crash injured 2 teenage male passengers inside the vehicle. Meanwhile, the 16-year-old driver did not suffer injuries.
Troopers cited the driver and were later released afterward. Authorities forwarded the charges to a prosecutor, it was not clear what are the charges at this time.
Authorities are still investigating and have not released further information regarding the incident. The WSP says that impairment did not play a factor in the crash.
