4 People Hurt in Santa Barbara Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 near Las Positas Road
SANTA BARBARA, CA (October 14, 2023) – Friday night, a startling wrong-way crash on Highway 101 near Las Positas Road injured four people.
The incident happened at around 9:35 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Las Positas Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved at least three vehicles.
Moreover, an AMR ambulance transported one person to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries. Also, a woman and her two children sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, the crash closed two lanes of the freeway but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
