NEWHALL, CA (November 14, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a startling two-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway near 14 Freeway Interchange injured one person.

The incident happened at around 1:17 p.m. on the 5 Freeway near 14 Freeway Interchange.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved two vehicles, including one that rolled down an embankment.

As a result, firefighters extricated two people who were trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported one person to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Moreover, the crash closed the No. 6 lane of the southbound 5 Freeway south of Newhall Avenue.
