2 Officers Injured in Startling Traffic Crash on Tapo Canyon Road [Simi Valley, CA]

Injuries Reported in Simi Valley Auto Accident on Tapo Canyon Road near State Route 118

SIMI VALLEY, CA (October 27, 2024) – Thursday night, 2 officers sustained injuries in a startling traffic crash on Tapo Canyon Road.

The incident occurred at about 9:25 p.m. on Tapo Canyon Road near State Route 118.

Meanwhile, the Simi Valley Police Department reported in a Friday press release that both officers involved are currently in stable condition. 

The incident happened as both police units were traveling south on Tapo Canyon Road near State Route 118 when they were struck by a speeding vehicle headed in the same direction. 

Also, the impact caused significant damage to all three vehicles, and the officers were taken to a local hospital for further treatment. 

The California Highway Patrol, handling the investigation, arrested the 28-year-old driver at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.
