Injuries Reported in San Diego Auto Accident on 3400 Canon Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 9, 2024) – Saturday night, a startling traffic crash on 3400 Canon Street injured 5 people.
The crash involving a box truck happened at about 9:15 p.m. on 3400 Canon Street.
The San Diego Police Department reported that a 37-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Ford Expedition eastbound on the 3400 block of Canon St. around 9:15 p.m. when, for reasons still unclear, she made what authorities called “an unsafe right movement.” This caused the vehicle to hit the rear of a parked Econoline box truck.
The crash impacted the front right side of the Expedition, resulting in a 12-year-old passenger suffering a broken right femur. The driver and three other young passengers reported pain and were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and the Traffic Division is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
