Injuries Reported in Fresno Auto Accident on Fulton Boulevard and Van Ness Boulevard

FRESNO, CA (April 1, 2024) – Sunday night, a startling stolen vehicle crash on Fulton Boulevard and Van Ness Boulevard injures 5.

The incident happened at 7:40 p.m. on Fulton Boulevard and Van Ness Boulevard.

Officers said that the teen allegedly ran a red light and collided with another vehicle in the intersection, Lt. Leslie Williams added.

Responders took the teens to a local hospital as precautionary measures. Also, three people in the other vehicle — two women and a 17-year-old — were also transported to the hospital for complaint of pain.

Then, officers attempted to stop the Hyundai for traffic infractions near Jensen and Cedar avenues.

Officers said that the vehicle failed to stop and officers chased it for a short distance. However, they eventually backed off because of unsafe driving by the teen.

Then, they noticed that the taillight from a distance and failed to see the vehicle.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
