VICTORVILLE, CA (February 29, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a startling single-vehicle crash on Mariposa Road near Cottonwood Avenue injured one person.
The incident happened at around 12:01 p.m. near 12475 Mariposa Road, between Monarch Boulevard and Cottonwood Avenue.
According to reports, a white Lexus sedan that was traveling at a high rate of speed lost control, veered off the roadway, and crashed into a water main and a sign before erupting into flames.
Moreover, responders airlifted a female passenger of the vehicle to a trauma center with unknown injuries.
Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
Meanwhile, the crash closed Mariposa Road’s northbound lanes.
