2 People Hurt in Cottonwood Auto Accident on Interstate 5 near Cottonwood Weigh Station
COTTONWOOD, CA (May 16, 2024) – On Wednesday, a startling rollover crash on Interstate 5 near Cottonwood Weigh Station injured two people.
The incident happened on Interstate 5 near the Cottonwood Weigh Station.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a van that was towing a 30-foot travel trailer lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, the van rolled over on the northbound lane and blocked the traffic.
Moreover, authorities confirmed that the female driver of the van sustained minor injuries, while her female passenger suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, the crash closed the roadway to traffic but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
