The incident happened at 3:44 a.m. on Highway 101 northbound near Santa Maria Way.

According to reports, a single vehicle crashed, overturned, and landed on its roof. As a result, two adult patients, a male driver, and a female passenger, were trapped inside, needing extrication.

Both of them suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Marian Regional Medical Center by two ground ambulances.

Also, the authorities temporarily shut down the roadway while crews removed the vehicle.
