2 People Hospitalized in Sonora Auto Accident on 800 Shaws Flat Road

SONORA, CA (December 11, 2023) – Saturday morning, a startling rollover crash on 800 Shaws Flat Road injured two people.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. at the 800 block of Shaws Flat Road.

According to the Sonora Police Department, a northbound 2012 Chevrolet Malibu lost control, left the roadway, and rolled over for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash ejected one of the occupants of the vehicle while another occupant was pinned inside the vehicle.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated the person trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the two patients, both male, to a hospital with major injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Sonora Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
