Injuries Reported in San Angelo Auto Accident near W Twohig Avenue and S Abe Street
SAN ANGELO, TX (December 8, 2024) – Friday afternoon, a startling rollover crash near W Twohig Avenue and S Abe Street.
The incident involving two vehicles happened near the intersection of West Twohig Avenue and South Abe Street.
San Angelo Police Sgt. John Bouligny confirmed that a maroon sedan and a white SUV drove south on South Abe Street.
“The white SUV was in lane number three, so you have to consider always the inside lane as number one…the red car was in lane number one and the white SUV attempted to turn onto Twohig from lane three,” he added.
The SUV driver was cited for turning from the wrong lane and may face additional citations, according to traffic investigator Bouligny. Footage from a nearby bank captured the crash, providing officers with the accurate sequence of events.
Bouligny confirmed that weather conditions were not a factor.
The sedan’s driver sustained what appeared to be non-incapacitating injuries, while the SUV driver and a dog in the vehicle were unharmed.
