SANTA BARBARA, CA (June 7, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a pilot suffered injuries in a startling plane crash near Santa Ynez Airport.

The crash involving a single-engine plane happened just after 4:30 p.m. Reports confirmed that the plane went down in a neighboring vineyard on the west side of the airport.

As a result, a 20-year-old pilot with major injuries who was transported to Cottage Hospital via helicopter.
