Injuries Reported in Grain Valley Pedestrian Accident on Woodbury Drive and Buckner Tarsney Road
GRAIN VALLEY, MO (November 20, 2024) – Early Tuesday, a startling pedestrian crash on Woodbury Drive injured a child.
The crash occurred on Woodbury Drive, just east of Buckner Tarsney Road.
Investigators reported that a vehicle left the road and hit a child who was standing nearby. The child, identified as a North Middle School student, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Authorities are collaborating with the Grain Valley School District to investigate the incident while supporting the child’s family and resources to help other students process their emotions.
A statement from the Grain Valley School District said, “Our focus is supporting the student, their family, and our school community during this time. We are working with counselors and staff to provide resources and assistance to any students who may need support.”
