Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Western Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 24, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, an LAPD officer suffered injuries in a startling pedestrian crash on Western Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard.
The incident happened at about 3:40 a.m. on Western Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard.
According to reports, officers with the Southwest Division tried to stop a stolen vehicle. Then, the vehicle fled from the traffic stop and stopped in the area of Western Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard approximately two minutes later.
When two officers exited their squad car approaching the stopped vehicle, a passing car struck him.
Then, the authorities found the motorist to be driving under the influence, and was arrested.
Moreover, the driver of the stolen vehicle was also taken into custody around 3:45 a.m.
Then, responders transported the officer to a nearby hospital, where they were listed to be in stable condition.
Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the parties involved.
