MINERAL WELLS, TX (August 17, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a startling pedestrian crash on SE 12th Street injured 1 person.

The authorities happened in the 2000 block of SE 12th Street.

When the authorities arrived at the scene at around 7:37 a.m., they immediately administered aid to the injured child.

The Mineral Wells Police Department investigated the scene.

According to preliminary findings from the investigation, as a Public Transit Services Bus dropped off the child at Lamar Elementary School as part of the school commute, the child exited the bus. However, the vehicle unexpectedly rolled forward and crashed with the young pedestrian.

Then, responders transported the injured child via air ambulance to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth. Pdf Officers noted that the child remained alert and conscious at the time of transport.

Then, local authorities collaborated closely with the Mineral Wells Independent School District (ISD) and the Public Transit System as they work to unravel the details of the incident.
