NEWBURY PARK, CA (September 12, 2023) – Saturday night, a startling pedestrian crash on Michael Drive and Borchard Road injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Michael Drive and Borchard Road, in a retail area south of Highway 101.

According to reports, a 50-year-old male England resident was hit by a truck. As a result, responders transported him to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks in serious or critical condition.

Sheriff’s Capt. Greg Gibson revealed that the driver of the truck remained at the scene and was not cited.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
