1 Person Hurt in Santa Barbara Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Las Positas Road
SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 23, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a startling pedestrian crash on Highway 101 near Las Positas Road injured one person.
The incident happened at around 7:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 101, between the Mission and Las Positas offramps.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian who crossed over to the center divider after being involved in an earlier crash.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Furthermore, the crash closed one lane of Highway 101 but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
