Injuries Reported in Vacaville Pedestrian Accident on Browns Valley Road
VACAVILLE, CA (October 3, 2024) – Monday night, a 73-year-old man and a dog suffered injuries in a startling pedestrian crash on Browns Valley Road.
The incident occurred as the man walked his dog Snowman in the crosswalk at about 9:15 p.m. A vehicle struck them both at the intersection of Browns Valley Road and Vaca Valley Parkway.
Authorities reported that the man was thrown onto the road during the incident, while Snowman, believed to have been dragged under the vehicle, managed to limp away to a nearby house. The driver responsible for the collision did not stop to assist and fled the scene.
The man sustained multiple serious injuries, including a dislocated shoulder, a fractured hip, and a broken femur, all of which required surgery. Snowman also suffered significant injuries but was later reunited with his family, according to officials.
