Injuries Reported in Red Bluff Pedestrian Accident on 700 Main Street
RED BLUFF, CA (May 9, 2024) – Tuesday night, a startling pedestrian crash on 700 Main Street injured 1 person.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Main Street.
Reports revealed that a 55-year-old man was driving a 2005 GMC pickup truck and was heading south on Main Street. Then, he hit a 41-year-old man who was walking west across Main Street, not in a designated crosswalk. Officers confirmed that the pedestrian walked directly in the path of the GMC truck when he was hit.
After the crash, responders transported the injured man to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of his injuries and later released.
Moreover, after the crash, the driver immediately pulled his vehicle over and has been cooperative with the investigating officers.
Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that alcohol played a role in the crash.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
