Injuries Reported in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on 5800 Babcock Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 12, 2024) – Friday night, a woman suffered injuries in a startling pedestrian crash on 5800 Babcock Road.

The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. in a local H-E-B parking lot located in the 5800 block of Babcock Road.

According to reports, as the 29-year-old walked through the parking lot of the giant grocery store, a driver in a white Lexus allegedly struck them around 8:30 p.m.

The San Antonio Police Department revealed that a vehicle was observed driving slowly through a parking lot before reportedly making contact with a woman. Initial reports suggest that the driver allegedly continued without stopping to provide assistance.

Meanwhile, the woman who was hit complained of pain but declined medical care, and no major injuries were reported. However, the driver, when found, is expected to face a charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid, according to SAPD. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
