1 Person Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 5400 University Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 6, 2023) – Monday night, a startling pedestrian crash on 5400 University Avenue injured one person.
The incident happened at around 9:22 p.m. in the 5400 block of University Avenue.
According to San Diego Police Officer D. O’Brien, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian who walked into the path of oncoming traffic for still unknown reasons. Then, the vehicle driver pulled over, helped the pedestrian to the curb then left the scene.
As a result, paramedics transported the 67-year-old male pedestrian to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
