1 Person Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 5100 Lenox Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 27, 2024) – Wednesday night, a startling pedestrian crash on 5100 Lenox Drive injured one person.
Reports said that the incident happened at around 6:25 p.m. on 5100 Lenox Drive.
According to San Diego Police Department Officer John Buttle, a westbound 2005 GMC Yukon struck a 67-year-old pedestrian in the Emerald Hills neighborhood.
Responding paramedics rushed the female victim to a hospital with a fracture to her left ankle and a laceration to her scalp.
Authorities said that the 33-year-old male driver of the vehicle claimed that the sun was in his eyes and as he reached for the visor, the vehicle struck the victim.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the San Diego Police Department continued investigating the crash.
