LUBBOCK, TX (December 31, 2023) – Saturday night, a startling pedestrian crash on 137th Street and University Avenue injured 1 person.
The incident happened at 7:26 p.m. on 137th Street and University Avenue.
According to reports, a passenger car struck and seriously injured a pedestrian. Then, EMS transported the victim to UMC.
Also, the authorities shut down the intersection at 137th and University while they investigated. Furthermore, they urged motorists to use alternate routes.
Meanwhile, officers diverted the southbound traffic on University Avenue to 138th Street, and northbound traffic on University Avenue to 135th Street.
