Injuries Reported in Laredo Auto Accident on Houston Street and Santa Ursula Avenue
LAREDO, TX (September 26, 2024) – Wednesday, a startling patrol vehicle crash on Houston Street and Santa Ursula Avenue injured an officer.
The crash occurred a little after midnight on Houston Street and Santa Ursula Avenue.
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that one of their units was en route to the Webb County Jail with a suspect when it was struck by a white SUV that ran a red light.
According to DPS, their vehicle had the green light and was passing through the intersection when the collision happened. Both the officer and the passenger were transported to the hospital but have since been discharged.
The driver of the white SUV was unharmed but received a citation for the traffic violation.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
