Traffic Stalled after Fairfield Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 80 and Manuel Campos Parkway

FAIRFIELD, CA (April 25, 2023) – Monday morning, a startling multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 580 led to minor injuries.

The incident started at 6:49 a.m. on Interstate 80 and Manuel Campos Parkway.

According to reports, the multi-vehicle wreck led to minor injuries and damage to five vehicles. Also, it stalled traffic in all four westbound lanes.

Officer Jason Tyhurst, the public information officer for CHP-Solano, confirmed that the crash led to minor injuries.

Eventually, the No. 1 and 4 lanes reopened, and by 8:20 a.m. all lanes had reopened.

“One car rear-ended another, and then the chaos started,” added Tyhurst.

“Always remember to avoid distractions and keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel,” the CHP-Solano advised in a social media post.
