Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Multi-Vehicle Accident on South La Brea Avenue and Obama Boulevard

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 18, 2024) – Sunday night, a startling multi-vehicle crash on South La Brea Avenue and Obama Boulevard injured 2 people.

The crash occurred at about 6:15 p.m. on South La Brea Avenue and Obama Boulevard. 

The incident began with a brief police chase, where two young girls were apprehended by the Los Angeles Police Department after allegedly stealing a Kia. The suspects were reportedly driving recklessly before colliding with a Chevrolet truck and a BMW. 

Sgt. Kevin Ahlemeir stated that the suspect vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of La Brea and Obama Boulevard, causing the collision while the other two vehicles had a green light. 

Both drivers of the impacted vehicles were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Then, the suspects have been taken into custody.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
