Injuries Reported in Cajon Pass Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 and Highway 138

CAJON PASS, CA (July 4, 2023) – Sunday night, a startling multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 and Highway 138 injured 3 people.

The crash occurred at 5:39 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, about a mile after Highway 138 exit.

According to a witness, the driver of a silver Ford E-Max sedan traveled at high speeds on northbound Interstate 15 in the center divider in the middle of the Cajon Pass. Then, they lost control and crashed into two other vehicles before veering out in the #2 lane.

Officers confirmed that the other vehicles were a dark gray Nissan pickup truck with major damage and an unknown sedan with minor damage.

After the crash, responders transported at least three people to a local hospital with minor to major injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
