Injuries Reported in Santa Barbara Multi-Vehicle Crash on 101 Freeway and Patterson Avenue
SANTA BARBARA, CA (August 16, 2023) – Tuesday night, a motorcyclist suffered injuries in a startling multi-vehicle accident on 101 Freeway and Patterson Avenue.
The incident happened at 5:17 p.m. on the SB 101 Freeway, just north of Patterson Avenue.
Officers confirmed that the crash involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles reduced the traffic down to one lane for at least 45 minutes
After the crash, the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cottage Hospital with lights and sirens.
Then, two vehicles involved were towed. Moreover, all lanes opened back up just after 6:00 PM.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
