Injuries Reported in Albuquerque Motorcycle Accident on Tramway Boulevard NE and Cloudview Avenue NE

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (August 6, 2024) – Sunday morning, a startling motorcycle crash on Tramway Boulevard NE injured 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on Tramway Boulevard NE and Cloudview Avenue NE.

Reports said the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they determined that two motorcycles were riding south on Tramway Boulevard while speeding, possibly racing.

Then, one driver lost control and went into the guardrail. 

As a result, responders took the rider to a hospital with severe body trauma and was in critical condition.

The second rider reportedly escaped before the police could identify them. The Austin Police Department (APD) has not yet determined if the driver was under the influence, but it appears that speed played a role in the accident. 

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
