Injuries Reported in Palmview Auto Accident on Western Road and 5 Mile Line Road

PALMVIEW, TX (November 26, 2023) – Saturday morning, a DPS trooper suffered injuries in a startling hit-and-run crash on Western Road and 5 Mile Line Road.

The incident involving a DPS patrol unit occurred at 5:25 a.m. on Saturday on Western Road and 5 Mile Line Road.

Reports said that a silver BMW car was heading south on Western Road approaching a stop sign.

Then, a DPS patrol unit was at the stop sign on Western Road, north of 5 Mile Line Road. However, the BMW crashed into the SUV. Afterward, the driver and passenger in the BMW escaped the scene.

Afterward, responders took a DPS trooper to a local hospital.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information regarding the driver and passenger of the BMW to contact the DPS office at (956) 565-7600.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
