1 Person Hurt in Ventura County Pedestrian Accident on Kellogg Street and Ventura Avenue
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (August 15, 2024) – Tuesday night, a startling hit-and-run crash on Kellogg Street and Ventura Avenue injured one person.
The incident started at around 8:30 p.m. when Ojai Valley station deputies attempted to contact a man at the Rocket station at 774 N Ventura Avenue.
According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the man fled the scene in a Dodge Caravan and struck a deputy.
Responders transported the deputy to a hospital with a moderate leg injury.
Authorities managed to locate and arrest the suspect at around 2:15 p.m. at 201 E Fourth Street.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
