1 Hurt in Santa Rosa Motorcycle Accident on Hopper Avenue and Airway Drive

SANTA ROSA, CA (May 1, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a startling hit-and-run crash on Hopper Avenue and Airway Drive injured 1 person.

The incident happened at around 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Hopper Avenue and Airway Drive.

According to reports, a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided. However, when the authorities arrived, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive in the street while the pickup truck driver remained at large.

Witnesses reported to the police that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Hopper Avenue and proceeded through a green light. However, the driver of the truck attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Airway Drive directly in the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.

Following the collision, the driver of the truck fled the scene. Police described the truck as a gray or silver Ford F-150, which likely sustained front-end damage as a result of the crash.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
