Injuries Reported in San Antonio Auto Accident on Grant Avenue and Alametos Street

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 21, 2024) – Saturday night, a startling hit-and-run crash on Grant Avenue and Alametos Street injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 9:00 p.m. on Grant Avenue and Alametos Street.

Reports revealed that a northbound gray Nissan Armada traveled on Grant Avenue with the right of way. Then, the driver drove through the intersection. However, a brown Buick LaCrosse driving eastbound on Alametos Street failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed with the Nissan Armada.

As a result, the force of the impact pushed the Nissan Armada into the curb, making it spin until it came to a rest against a retaining wall.

After the crash, the driver of the Nissan Armada, a 30-year-old woman, suffered injuries in the crash. Officers confirmed that the Buick LaCrosse was inoperable after the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the Buick LaCrosse escaped the scene on foot and didn’t render aid to the injured driver of the Nissan Armada.

Also, officers are still looking for the driver of the Buick LaCrosse and are expected to file charges of failing to stop and render aid after a moving vehicle accident upon apprehension.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
