CHICO, CA (March 26, 2024) – Early Monday morning, a startling hit-and-run crash on Chico River Road and Lone Pine Avenue injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 2:15 a.m. on Chico River Road and Lone Pine Avenue, west of Chico.

According to reports, as a Nissan Altima drove west, it veered off the road and crashed into a couple of trees in an orchard. Then, the driver ran off.

Meanwhile, responders took the passenger to the hospital with minor injuries. Officers are still looking for the driver.
