FONTANA, CA (January 10, 2024) – Monday night, a startling electric scooter crash on Merrill Avenue and Citrus Avenue injured one person.

Reports revealed that the incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. on Merrill Avenue and Citrus Avenue.

According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident happened when a southbound vehicle struck a pedestrian who was riding an electric scooter and crossing the roadway against the red light in the crosswalk.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle, an elderly male, remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
