Injuries Reported in San Luis Obispo Auto Accident on Santa Rosa Street and Montalban Street

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (September 11, 2023) – Sunday, a startling DUI crash on Santa Rosa Street and Montalban Street injured 1 person.

The incident happened just after midnight on Santa Rosa Street and Montalban Street.

According to reports, a suspected DUI driver was driving south on Santa Rosa Street at a high rate of speed. Then, he rear-ended another car that was also traveling southbound on Santa Rosa.

As a result, the hit car spun out before stopping on the sidewalk in front of Jack in the Box. Meanwhile, the suspected DUI driver continued driving southbound and stopped when the car struck a light pole on the overpass.

Moreover, responders transported the victim of the suspected DUI driver to the hospital with moderate injuries. Then, the suspected DUI driver was arrested.
